Nightlife in San Cristóbal de las Casas: Bars, Pox, Wine & Dancing
San Cristóbal nightlife is spread across small bars, pox tasting rooms, wine and craft-beer venues, live-music spaces and dance-oriented clubs. Choose by format rather than relying on a static “best bars” list, and recheck same-day opening and event information because late-night schedules change.
Published
San Cristóbal nightlife is not one single strip or one type of bar. Choose by format: pox tasting, wine/cocktails, craft beer, live music or dancing.
Late-night schedules are volatile. Municipal authorities carried out bar inspections in 2026 specifically around operating hours and health rules, so do not treat an old closing time as permanent.
Quick answer
Pox tasting room: La Espirituosa
Pox bar/shop on Real de Guadalupe: Posheria
Wine + cocktails in a quieter setting: El Colibrí Café & Wine Bar
Craft-beer-focused bar: La Artesanal
Dancing / salsa-social format: Latinos Café Restaurante Club
For bands and concerts: use the separate Live Music Guide
For what is actually happening tonight, check SanCrisGo Events and the venue’s same-day channel.
Pox: La Espirituosa and Posheria
La Espirituosa is Poxna’s tasting room in Barrio del Cerrillo. Poxna’s current official site explicitly presents it as a sala de degustación in San Cristóbal and publishes the current location.
Posheria is a pox-focused bar and shop on Real de Guadalupe. Its current official site says the San Cristóbal location opened in 2010 and continues to operate at Real de Guadalupe 46-A.
If you want cultural background before tasting, see What Is Pox?. Neither venue changes the fact that pox’s current legal geographic-protection status is different from established DO products such as Café Chiapas or Ámbar de Chiapas.
Wine and cocktails: El Colibrí
El Colibrí Café & Wine Bar, part of Hacienda Valentino in Santa Lucía, is a calmer format than a late-night club. The hotel’s current official site describes wine, beer, cocktails and a full bar alongside its café and food service.
Choose it when drinks and conversation matter more than dancing or a concert.
Craft beer: La Artesanal
La Artesanal is a craft-beer-focused bar inside Pasaje Mazariegos on Real de Guadalupe. Current venue information also shows food, cocktails, sports screenings and occasional live entertainment.
Because late closing times and event programming can change, check the current Place page rather than relying on an old nightlife article.
Dancing and social nights: Latinos
Latinos Café Restaurante Club is a bar/restaurant/club format on Francisco I. Madero. Current 2026 listings confirm dancing, live music and recurring salsa/bachata activity.
Treat the class/event schedule as dated programming, not a permanent weekly promise. Check the venue’s current channel or Events for the night you plan to go.
Live music is a separate intent
San Cristóbal has several bars and cultural spaces with recurring concerts, but copying those venues again here would make this page stale faster.
Use Live Music in San Cristóbal for recurring music venues and the current Events layer for tonight’s actual program.
Practical nightlife rule
- recheck the venue the same day;
- do not assume an old poster or closing time is current;
- use a taxi if your late-night route is no longer a walk you are comfortable making;
- for urgent help, use Emergency Numbers.
