The airport is not in San Cristóbal itself. After landing, you still need ground transport to reach the city.

Taking the direct OCC/ADO service
ADO currently offers online booking from Aeropuerto Ángel Albino directly to San Cristóbal de las Casas.
This is usually the easiest option if:

- you are happy to continue from the San Cristóbal arrival point to your accommodation separately.

Booking in advance is particularly useful if:
- your flight arrives later in the day;
- you are traveling during a busy period;
- you want to know whether a direct departure matches your flight before you arrive.
If you prefer to buy after landing, recent traveler reports describe transport ticket desks in the arrivals area. One traveler arriving in April 2026 bought a paper ticket there and paid by card. This is a firsthand observation rather than a guarantee that every counter or payment method will always be available.
Having some Mexican pesos as a backup is sensible.

Tuxtla Gutiérrez city → San Cristóbal.
Local transport from the city of Tuxtla can be much cheaper, but the airport is outside central Tuxtla. Reaching the city first adds another transport leg.
If your goal is simply to reach San Cristóbal after landing, compare the total cost and total travel time, not only the cheaper Tuxtla–San Cristóbal ticket.

The transport service gets you to San Cristóbal, but it may not take you directly to your accommodation.
